Who You Calling Dummy?
Here is just a quick post, reporting that I have made no progress whatsoever on the movie over the past few weeks. It frustrates me a bit, but I can't do everything all at once, though I do try. You can learn about my "business" ailment in my other blog "Stumbling Toward God."
The photo is a shot taken from one scene where Mark's ventriloquist doll has come downstairs to torment him. This is my ventriloquist doll. I had two of these since I was a kid. They always gave me a bit of a scare. I'm happy to finally make use of that scare.

A Few Pics
I thought I would post a few photos from the production. Here is a shot of Mary Sarah (http://www.marysarah.net) in makeup for her scary scene on the stairway. We had a lot of fun that evening.
Here is a shot of my boom operator, key grip, and sometimes, cameraman, Bill. He was quite an asset to the production.
Lead actors John and Dawn Bursell, with Mary Sarah. They made a cute family.
Here are a few scenes from the movie:
Production Notes
This is the beginning of my production notes for my first feature film "Spirits Among Us." The screenplay was co-written by Chris Vanderkaay and myself. Chris is a talented writer, he also hosts a podcast site http://www.studioupstairs.net/ It is worth visiting.
The photo to the right was taken on the first day of shooting, with the actress Junie Hoang (http://www.juniehoang.com/)
I have also produced a couple short films, "Just Two Minutes" and "Jessica." These two films and a trailer for my current film "Spirits Among Us" can be seen at my website http://www.dgwmovies.com/
This feature film was shot last June and July (2007) in Kingwood, Texas. It was a tremendous amount of work, but it was fun and rewarding. I made new friends as a result. Everyone worked hard for low pay, and are all patiently waiting for me to complete and release the film. My other job, and my post-production work on another film ( http://fromheavenwithlovefilm.com/ )consumed so much time that post-production has been considerably delayed. I finally had an opportunity to get some more editing done in January while working overseas. I now have about 40 minutes of the movie in rough edited form. Film premiere and release dates will be set soon.
